It has been a time. And now it’s time to catch up.
That is, I sincerely was looking forward to all of the social media hangouts, to reading all the books, to writing all the books, to listening to all the stories…and then life came at me hard. So while I have a few minutes, I’d like to catch up. I can’t predict whether or not this whole life thing is going to keep being excessively wild, though, and I’m trying to wrap my head around the idea of just–not worrying about it.
Meanwhile, I wanted to catch YOU up on a few fun things that I (rather unfortunately) wasn’t around for at the time, and still want to shout out. Jae, who is really wonderful about sharing books, posted The 30-Day Engagement for Sapphic Book Bingo and fake relationships. (Can I get 2023 amnesty on my bingo card?) I Heart SapphFic featured the book in a post about wedding books in their reading challenge, which I wasn’t around for, and appreciate TB Markinson and Miranda MacLeod for organizing. Readers, writers, check these sites out for an absolute firehose of fantastic books news; it’s a lot of work to gather all of this, and a lot of generosity, too.
And finally, I’m working on something new in those few minutes I can find here and there, and it’s kicking my butt. I’ll post the opening snippet soon on my newsletter as a sneak peek. Spoiler: it involves lesbians, baked goods, a competition show (but not a baking show!) and a tiny bit of very fictional murder.
P.S. I finally added the real book cover for Girl Gets Ghosted to my books and home pages. That’s an indication of how this last year went! Tab over to see the description of the novella, which is available in print and ebook.
